Video Evidence — notice the two watches
Sharp-eyed viewers will notice Adrian James Campbell is wearing two watches in the video — one on each wrist. He looks exactly like a slick used-car salesman trying too hard to impress.
“A man with one watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never quite sure.”
If he can't decide what time it is, should you trust him with your life savings?
A detailed account of the extensive criminal background behind the promoter of Saraya Beach Resort Lombok.
Saraya is a project that was allegedly funded by stolen investor money from a nearby project — a highly controversial development. If anyone wishes to verify this, they can investigate and soon find that the CEO and founder behind the Saraya Lombok project has an extensive criminal history.
In 2009, Adrian James Campbell was charged by the Victorian Police — making the front page of the Border Mail newspaper. He escaped bail in Australia for Bali. He was charged for check forgery and also for the theft of Telstra copper cables, by both the Victorian Police and Queensland Police.
In 2015, he was charged for fraud involving solar systems — selling product, keeping the money, and not delivering the product, or having any intention to deliver it. In Australia, in the Southport Magistrates Court, you can check articles in the Brisbane Times and Canberra Times to find this individual was charged.
An arrest warrant was issued for Adrian James Campbell in 2016. He was also charged in Southport Magistrates Court for fraud — receiving a criminal conviction and a suspended nine-month jail sentence — for a major copycat fraud. One of his preferred types of fraud: he set up Eco Boss Australia Pty Ltd, a company with a similar name to Eco Boss UK, and sold licenses that he didn't have the rights to. He pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars. When people complained about not receiving their product, he simply deflected and blamed the innocent UK company that had been trading for years and was not even aware of the scam being played upon them.
Then came the GIM Trading fraud — 23 million Australian dollars allegedly missing, with the same director involved. Campbell claims he had no association to GIM Trading despite strong evidence and WhatsApp messages showing he founded the company. He tells investigators “No, I'm innocent. I sold the company.”
On one hand he tells people he wasn't involved in GIM Trading, but the next day he tells people he sold the company. So which is it?
The biggest fraud followed when he targeted the Marina Bay City project. Once again, he performed a copycat fraud — setting up similar-name companies, claiming to be an independent transfer company, and siphoning off reportedly six to seven million dollars. He was caught issuing fraudulent off-the-plan contracts for the Marina Bay City project, putting liability on the developer and altering bank accounts for investors to pay money to his offshore Hong Kong Kinnara bank account and other bank accounts he controlled.
He issued unauthorized sales contracts to investors who believed they were buying into Marina Bay City, but secretly altered the payment details to redirect funds to Kinnara Hong Kong and other entities under his control. He then placed 100% liability on the developer without their knowledge or consent for these fraudulent contracts, before using misappropriated investor money to launch a PR campaign that smeared the developer and falsely accused them of the fraud he had committed in order to deflect attention from himself. This reflects the calculated tactics of a professional scammer who had previously perfected the same scheme during the Eco Boss scam, which caused sales to collapse to zero.
His fraud didn't stop there. He took the stolen money and bought land nearby called Saraya Lombok. He then stole clients from the former Marina Bay City project and its developer, taking millions of dollars and still actively selling and taking millions from naive and gullible investors.
But he hasn't told them he has some problems with Saraya. He can't build on Saraya beachfront land. That's why he's selling it so cheap and taking as much money as he can — because Saraya is disputed land. It's owned by two parties. He only bought it off one party, and it's tied up in court and has been for a decade and will likely be for the next decade. He can never build.
Investigations into this individual — who claimed that his company Kinnara was “one of the largest property developers in Southeast Asia” — turned out that they couldn't find a single project this company has ever built. Not only that, journalists couldn't find a single villa he's ever built.
To overcome this clear deficiency in his propaganda, he set out in West Lombok to buy a patch of dirt — or a patch of rocks — overlooking the highway, and built a facade, a shell of a villa, setting up CCTV footage for people to watch what he now claims to be “the fastest and best Lombok developer — watch a villa be built in under four months.” That was seven months ago, and his villa's not built. He is still unable to build a single villa. If you study his criminal history, he never delivers the product. He just takes the money and creates a facade.
In the words of leading cybercrime investigator Ken Gamble, during an ABC Investigation into one of Adrian Campbell's previous frauds (with 23 million Australian dollars allegedly missing):
“This is one of the most calculated scams he's ever witnessed.”
Be aware: you are dealing with a professional. A very convincing professional. This fast-talking, slick salesperson who wears two watches — because clearly he doesn't know the time — is one of the most professional, calculated scammers Australia has ever produced.
If you invest in Saraya Bay, Saraya Lombok, then your money is probably gone.
